The Red Carpet

So, I’m not the biggest fan of watching the Oscars. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever watched one start to finish. But you can bet that I spent all day cruising around the world wide web checking out all of the celeb outfits from last night. After a few hours of reading every other article/video/slideshow mentioning the Oscars and it’s red carpet looks, I’ve decided on my favorites.

To start, I think all of the attendees and their frocks were beautiful. Angelina Jolie’s Versace gown was known for being unoriginal, but please tell me who else would look remarkable in a high slit, velvet dress? Plus, it fit her like a glove. I’m also pretty sure Cameron Diaz hasn’t aged a day since I first saw her in The Mask as a little girl. Her Gucci threads do nothing but accentuate her glowing and radiant skin.

Now, my recognition for the best dressed celebrities go to…

Best Dressed:

Milla Jovovich – Elie Saab Couture

Stunning. Just stunning. I mean, wow.

Runner Up:

Rooney Mara – Givinchy Couture

From The Social Network to The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Rooney Mara has shown us all how beautiful and versatile she is. This look will be hard to beat.

Honorable Mention:

Gwyneth Paltrow – Tom Ford

When I see this gown, I see every character Gwyneth Paltrow has ever played. I wonder if this is what she actually looks like or just what she wants to portray. Either way she looks incredible. Absolute definition of classic chic.
